No Longer GOP vs. Dem–it is Conservative vs. Progressive

The 1964 Goldwater race for president, in hindsight, was the beginning of the end for the GOP and the Democrats.
While both Parties will continue, they will no longer be big tents efforts.  The GOP will be “conservative” and the Democrats will be “progressives”.
