Calvet Hosts First Annual Veteran Employee Education Fair on Thursday, June 4

SACRAMENTO – EVENT: The California Department of Veterans Affairs and the Sacramento Region Higher Education Coalition will hold the First Annual Veteran Employee Education Fair to provide information to working veterans and other working professionals on options for pursuing a college education while maintaining a full-time job.

BACKGROUND: The Veteran Employee Education Fair will provide veterans with a presentation on the new and improved Post 9/11 G.I. Bill and how it will provide veterans with assistance in pursuing a university, college, and vocational training education. Veterans will have the opportunity to meet with advisors and other representatives from local colleges and universities who can answer questions regarding enrollment and financial support available to veterans. There will also be presentations on veterans’ benefits from the Federal and State Departments of Veterans Affairs.
