Berryhill Responds to Democrat Attempt to Raise Taxes on Middle Class Families

CERES, CA-New legislation being pushed by corrupt members of the Democratic leadership in Congress is calling for tax increases on families making more than $30,000 a year to supposedly pay for the war in Afghanistan.
The legislation is supported by Ways and Means Chairman Charles Rangel (D-NY) and Rep. John Murtha, who are listed by the non-partisan Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) as being the most corrupt members of Congress.
“Dennis Cardoza needs to tell the people of the 18th district what his position is on this legislation. I know it’s tempting for him to cut a deal with his corrupt friends who want to hide behind our servicemen and women in Afghanistan to raise taxes on working families. This will hurt everyone in the 18th district and cost even more jobs,” said Berryhill. “Why in the world can’t Washington politicians like Cardoza understand that we have to stop raising taxes and that government needs to live within its means?”
Cardoza has supported the government takeover of healthcare, cap and tax legislation that will hike utility bills and a failed stimulus that has become an ATM for democrat donors and special interests while raising unemployment rates in our country.
“Dennis Cardoza is trying to cut deals instead of doing what’s right, and working families are paying the price,” said Berryhill spokesman Carl Fogliani. “He needs to stop representing his neighbors in Washington and stop supporting tax hikes and spending bills in exchange for photo ops to get re-elected. It looks like Nancy Pelosi has found a way to teach this old Blue Dog some new tricks.”
Mike Berryhill is married to Francesca (Fran) and together they have raised nine children, 7 boys and two girls on their family ranch in Stanislaus County. For more information on Mike Berryhill’s campaign for Congress, go to his website at www.berryhillforcongress.com .
