CRP Statement on Ronald Reagan’s 99th Birthday

SACRAMENTO — California Republican Party Chairman Ron Nehring today issued the following statement commemorating President Ronald Reagan’s 99th birthday:
“In California we are blessed to be the state that gave President Ronald Reagan to America, and the world.
“President Reagan was a dedicated and unapologetic patriot who understood that our country could only survive with conservative principles and thrive with Republican policies. He confounded critics and opponents with his charm and grace and encouraged our nation and, eventually, the world that our future depends on freedom and opportunity, not limitation and entitlement. Ronald Reagan was leadership personified, always exhibiting the necessary patience and unwavering strength that history will prove was singularly unique. His was a life filled not just with success but with significance.
“On the occasion of his 99th birthday today, President Reagan still proves to be a visionary for the Republican Party and I invite everyone to listen to or read his landmark speech, ‘Rendezvous With Destiny,’ if only to reinforce those timeless values that we know best foster individual prosperity and national pride.
