Williamson Act to Die: Farms Will Soon Die in California
Posted By Stephen Frank on March 10, 2010
The Williamson Act gives tax breaks to keep farms operating. “California might be witnessing the death throes of the Williamson Act, the legislation that helps to protect farmland. The utter demise of the Williamson Act would hasten the urbanization of the San Joaquin Valley, and that would vastly change our way of life in the Valley.”
Limited water, higher regulations, ending of tax breaks–California agriculture industry, in the future will only be found in the textbooks.
Government is killing yet another industry. This is why we will be in a Depression for at least another generation.
Angry yet?
